IS102 ISSO/ISSM Fundamentals

Course Description

This course introduces the roles and responsibilities of both Information System Security Officer (ISSO) and Information System Security Manager (ISSM). It provides a basic understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) as well as Cybersecurity policies for both the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Air Force Intelligence Community (AF IC). The course will address the appropriate steps needed to obtain an Authorization to Operate (ATO).

Evaluation and Attendance Information

This will be an online: self-paced (no instructor) course.  There will be an evaluation at the end of the course. Students have three opportunities topass the evaluation with an 80% or better to successfully complete the course. This course fulfills the mandatory ISSO/ISSM training policy requirements.

This session will be an online: self-paced course. There is no instructor.  Participants should use their personal laptop to support knowledge checks, assessments and completing the evaluation process.
